metaFox Assessment Suite

Assessment center software for selection and development

You work with your own competency model and your own tasks. Observers rate each item in the browser and need no account. You decide live what the candidate sees, and you get the results per competency.

At the end, you write the candidate report from your notes with help from the AI, and approve it.

First center free. After that, €500 per center excl. VAT, setup & support included, or custom pricing for packages and teams.

The process

One center from preparation to review

In an assessment or development center, several observers watch one person across several tasks and rate them competency by competency. The ratings are then brought together. In the Assessment Suite, all of these parts are connected.

A scene at an assessment center: several people at a table with laptops, one of them showing the Assessment Suite live view
  1. 1

    Prepare

A competency model with observable behavior items, tasks with materials for the candidate and for observers, and the competencies observed in each task.

  2. 2

    Run

You release one task after another. Observers rate at the same time, in the browser.

  3. 3

    Review

Averages and individual ratings per competency, notes, strengths and areas of development per task, and your final score.

Plus the candidate report, which you write with help from the AI and approve.

How it works

Six steps in the Assessment Suite

  1. A competency model in the editor: five competencies, the first one open with four behavior items, and the CSV import button at the top
    1

    Build your competency model

In the editor, you add competencies, describe each one briefly and add observable behavior items. Import an existing model as a CSV file.

  2. A task in the editor with separate tabs for candidate materials and observer materials: the task text and a PDF for the candidate
    2

    Prepare your tasks

Create each task once in the Task Library, for example a presentation, a role play or a group discussion. Materials for the candidate and for the observers go on separate tabs, as text and PDF. You can upload videos as well.

  3. Step three of the wizard: tasks in order; for the first task, three of five competencies are selected for observation
    3

    Set up the assessment

A three-step wizard asks for the candidate and date, then the competency model and scoring scale, then the tasks in order. For each task, you choose the competencies you observe in it.

  4. An observer's scoring view: notes with minute marks and the items of the Communication competency on a 1 to 6 scale, three of them scored
    4

    Run it live

Observers rate the items of each competency on the scale in the browser and note observations, strengths and areas of development. You choose which task is running and whether the candidate sees nothing, only the title or the full task, and you can score as well. Nobody sees anyone else's scores while scoring is open.

  5. Results overview: a radar chart with the consultant's scores and the observer average, and below it, for each competency, the scores as dots and the final score
    5

    Observer conference and results

After each task, you close the scoring. Your results view shows all scores: a radar chart and, for each competency, every observer as a separate dot. For each task, you set the final score per competency.

You decide what observers see next: only their own scores, yours as well, or everyone's. You also decide whether they may still change their scores after the task and in the observer conference, or only view them. Each observer's first independent rating is kept; later changes appear in the change history.

    Report for the candidate

You write the candidate report from your notes, with help from the AI. You answer a few questions, multiple choice and free text, that the AI uses to fill gaps in your report. From the observers' comments, you take over only what you confirm. You review the 16:9 report, adjust it and approve it. Scores and final scores come only from you and the observers. Export the approved report as a PDF for the candidate, or open it as a debrief whiteboard with space for notes.

After the center

Accompany development within the metaFox.online Coaching Suite

After a development center, development often continues in coaching. That is what metaFox.online, the metaFox Coaching Suite, is for. It runs on the same platform as the Assessment Suite, with the same account.

A laptop showing the Assessment Suite results overview with the radar chart across competencies
A metaFox.online session: the Wheel of Life on the board, four participants in the video call on the right
  • Sessions on the whiteboard

Video call and visual whiteboard in one place. Your clients join through your link, with no account.

  • Coaching tools and card sets

For example Picture Cards, Values Cards, Strengths Cards, Feelings Cards, Inner Parts and the Wheel of Life.

  • Journeys and session templates

Every session is saved with its boards. Design a template once and reuse it with many clients.

  • Strengths Discovery with 360° feedback

A visual self-assessment, with optional feedback from people who know the person. You debrief the report in a session.

Roles

Who sees and does what

Consultant

Has a metaFox account. Builds the competency model and tasks, sets up assessments, shares the links and steers the session. Can score as well, and sets the final score per competency for each task.

Decides what observers see after a task and whether they may change their scores. Writes the candidate report with help from the AI and approves it.

Observer

Needs no account. Opens the link, enters their name on the first visit and rates in the browser. Sees the materials for candidate and observers, but no one else's scores while scoring is open. The link expires 7 days after the assessment is finished.

What is visible after a task, and whether changes are allowed, is set by the consultant.

Candidate

Needs no account. Opens their own link, which you copy or send by email from the app. Sees only what you release: nothing, the title, or the full task with the candidate materials. The candidate never sees scores.

After the assessment, receives the report the consultant has written and approved.

Use cases

For selection and for development

A scene from a presentation task: one person presents to three listeners, and a laptop on the table shows the Assessment Suite scoring view

Leadership selection

Several observers rate the same candidate independently. For each competency you see how close the scores are, and you set the final score. You make the decision; the software gives no recommendation.

  • Blind scoring per behavior item
  • Each observer shown as a separate dot per competency
  • Final score per competency and task, set by you
  • Each observer's first independent rating is kept, with a change history

Development centers and potential assessment

For each task, observers record strengths and areas of development. The results page collects them next to the scores, as the basis for your feedback conversation.

  • Strengths and areas of development per task
  • All observers' notes in one place
  • Radar chart across competencies (from three competencies)
  • Candidate report as a PDF or a debrief whiteboard

Data protection and hosting

Stored in Frankfurt

Competency models, tasks, materials, scores and notes are kept in our database and file storage at Supabase, in the AWS Frankfurt region (eu-central-1). The app runs on Vercel in Frankfurt (fra1), and the real-time connection runs on Fly.io in Frankfurt. Supabase, Vercel and Fly.io are US companies; we use their Frankfurt data centers.

  • While scoring is open, the server sends no observer anyone else's scores.
  • The candidate sees no scores and no observer materials.
  • For the AI help with the report, we use language models from Mistral AI, processed in the EU. We send your notes and your answers to the questions pseudonymized, without names. The data is not used for training.
  • Observer links expire 7 days after the assessment is finished.
  • How we process candidate and observer data is described in the "Assessment Center" section of our privacy policy.
  • A data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request.

FAQ

Questions about the Assessment Suite

Do observers and candidates need an account?

No. Both open a link in the browser and enter their name on the first visit. You share one link with all observers; each person who opens it gets their own access. Only the consultant needs an account.

Can I use my own competency model?

Yes. Add competencies and behavior items yourself, or import them as a CSV file: the competency in the first column, its items in the following columns. You set the scoring scale per assessment, from 1 up to a maximum between 2 and 20; the default is 1 to 6. Only your account sees your own models and tasks.

Can I use the Assessment Suite for selection procedures under DIN 33430?

DIN 33430 sets requirements for the whole procedure and for the people involved; software alone does not make a procedure compliant, and we claim no conformity. The suite covers building blocks that selection procedures use: a competency model with behavior items, competencies per task, several observers and blind scoring per item. Each observer's first independent rating is kept, and later changes appear in the change history. A raw data export does not exist yet.

Is there a report, and what does AI do in it?

Yes, a report for the candidate. You write it from your notes with help from the AI: you answer a few questions, multiple choice and free text, that the AI uses to fill gaps in your report, and you review, edit and approve the 16:9 report. Scores and final scores come only from you and the observers; the AI assigns no values and makes no recommendation. A client report and a raw data export do not exist yet.

Does it work with Teams or Zoom?

Yes. The Assessment Suite runs in its own browser window, and the video call runs in the tool you already use. At in-person centers, observers rate on a laptop. The suite is not connected to the video rooms and whiteboards of metaFox.online yet.

What does the Assessment Suite cost?

Your first center is free. After that, a center costs €500 excl. VAT, setup & support included. A center is one assessment with one candidate. Observers and candidates pay nothing, and there is no monthly fee. For several centers a year or for your team, we agree custom pricing based on your situation. What every center includes is listed under Pricing.

What counts as a center?

A center is one assessment with one candidate, with any number of tasks and observers. A group assessment center with six candidates counts as six centers. A center counts once you start the assessment with the candidate.

Do you offer packages or team pricing?

Yes. For several centers a year or for a team, we put together a package with you that matches the number of centers you run. Ask us in the demo call or mention it in your pilot request.

What happens after the free first center?

You decide whether to continue: with single centers at €500 each or with a package we agree with you. Nothing is charged unless you order. The results of your first center stay in your account.

How do I pay?

By invoice: you receive an invoice from metaFox GmbH and pay by bank transfer within 14 days. We invoice single centers after the center and packages when you order.
